Ratings and reviews

uber itself is great but the app needs work. I've had a couple incidents now where the driver has driven past me without stopping and cancelled my trip. Then because it's cancelled, there's no way to complain, that driver just disappears from the info. also, in the help section, there's no option to write a complaint, only preselected choices.

Customer service is a nightmare. No emails, no in-app messaging, no phone numbers anywhere. The customer support on their website leads to a 404 error. I asked to have my refund put directly in my bank account (as the app gave me the option to do so????) but instead it went into my uber wallet and charged me an extra $10 for it with no explanation.

I was overseas and my payment method kept being declined. I tried and double-checked everything, but it still would not work. I even re-downloaded the app. So, I contacted Uber and they still insisted it was an issue with my card provider. I ended up giving up and just downloaded another rideshare app, Bolt, which worked perfectly. I have also used Grab overseas and there were no issues. It's just Uber, so I don't think it was an issue with my card. Uber won't help.
