Ever since they added the voice message microphone in the same exact position where the send button is and just above where I do voice to text with the same exact icon this app is ridiculously frustrating from accidental presses every time I use it. It also causes breaks in sending messages where things get locked in sending status. There's no way to move it. It asked me if I wanted to try it out but there's no way to disable it. Thanks a lot Google.

Great app. the thing that makes me put this as three stars is the number of glitches that this app has. An example of this is that when I try to text a specific contact, it says, " You can not chat with (insert chat name here)," and then a link to try to troubleshoot the problem. the conclusion that I have come to is that they either blocked me or there's a difference in our settings. I still don't know how to figure this out, but il find a way.

Not even half-baked. Hangouts was already one of the worst chat programs and now it's being replaced by this. You can't archive conversations. Images in conversations don't scale to fit, are forced into one aspect ratio, and have a grey border if it's not high enough resolution. Plus tapping things like gifs brings up a browser to view them. What is this, 2008? It's 2021, Google. Also you can't remove your reactions so if you choose the wrong one, it's there forever. A dark mode would be nice.
