Hate it. I need an overlay to read and process letters, or for technology, the ability to change the background. On my original samsung messages, I could change the background colour. Strike 1, I cannot do this with this messaging app. With samsung, it filtered unread messages, provided an option at the top of the app, to jump straight to them. This app does not do that. That's Strike 2. Unfortunately, as of July 2026, my old app became obsolete, and I had no choice but to use the new one.

Group messages suddenly stopped working on Google Messages Web. Individual messages can still be sent normally from the computer, but messages in group conversations remain stuck with a timer/loading icon and are never sent. The same group messages work perfectly when sent directly from my mobile phone. I have already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, but nothing has fixed the issue. Please investigate and fix this problem with group messaging on the web version.

got 2 Sims in my phone, 1 personal, 1 for business. whenever I need to receive a text for whatever reason, from an app or website, it never comes through, funnily enough, as soon as I download a different SMS app, that message pops up. I've tried every possible FAQ answer and trouble shooting option but it doesn't work. google messages simply is awful..
