If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on your watch. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet. You can switch back to Google Assistant in Settings.

I want Google assistant back on my watch!!! This is useless! I can't set timers, I can't control the lights with it. I HATE it SO much. It disturbed my daily routines, workouts included. Now instead of using vocal commands for simple task as turning the lights on/off or setting up timers, I have to do it MANUALLY. Back to the stone age. If I could give this thing less than one star I would more than gladly do it. The fact that I'm FORCED to use it makes it even worse. 👎👎👎👎👎

Gemini itself is nice and fast on watch, but only when it WORKS. Most of the time I say "Hey Google" or hold the side button, it looks like it's listening, but it either never heard what I'm saying and acts unresponsive, or it throws a false error like that Gemini isn't available or Your watch is offline. ITS NOT. It's a very frustrating issue and if Google ever sees this I would really wish they fixed this problem. And yes, I restarted my phone and watch, cleared the apps data, force stopped it, all the basic fixes, they didn't solve the problem.

Unstable Dictation. It will continue trying to listen for speech even when the user is done talking and there's even the subtlest background noise. The phone app does not suffer from this problem and can easily distinguish between the person talking directly to the phone and others around you. If this functionality isn't possible on the watch, then add a manual button to start and end dictation. It defeats the purpose of having an assistant on your wrist if you have to pull the phone out anyway
