Ratings and reviews

Clumsy, slow. A few updates back the app was made worse in the reading and writing of images into storage. Have to use the Google "gallery" app now. Gallery is fast in moving and retrieving of pictures. Files used to be as fast. It's likely a phone compatibility issue, but everything else on my phone works fine. Something in the files app updates was a mistake/oversight.

App won't load any folders. I can't access any documents I've been sent and need to review! The app is updated on it's own. I've done all the things with clearing storage and what not. This has been an ongoing issue for months. MANY people are having this problem. Fix it and stop telling people it's their phones causing the issues!

It's pretty garbage for a regular piece of software. You can't even make new files from your phone. So you can't organize your documents or copy paste emails that you need to organize into specific subjects or folders so everything becomes kind of a mess. I mean it works normally I suppose for regular things. The safe folder is kind of cool but the AI response to this review, it's overall disappointing

What's new

When you scan a document, it’s saved in your device’s Scanned folder.
“Documents & other” category is now called “Documents” to make it easier to find PDF files. Other files, like backup and database files, can be found in “Downloads” or “Internal storage”.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll roll out search improvements like recently opened files, quick results, and dropdown filters to make finding files even easier.
