WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT?
Blue light is the visible light spectrum (380-550nm) for circadian regulation. It contains more energy than other visible light types, so it may damage your retinal cells.

WHY SHOULD I USE BLUE LIGHT FILTER?
Research shows that exposure to blue light imposes serious threats to retinal neurons, causes eye strain, dry eyes, and inhibits the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that influences circadian rhythms. With our night shift function, your vision health will be greatly improved.

CAN BLUE LIGHT FILTER IMPROVE MY SLEEP?
Yes. Natural exposure to blue light during the daylight hours boosts people's energy, alertness and mood; however, it will disturb your sleep at night.(from wiki) Blue light filter can effectively reduce blue light from the screen and help you get better sleep.

I turn this on every night for when I'm laying in bed, browsing around on my phone to fall asleep. ... (to give you an idea the level of darkness) From sundown going forward; I turn on my phones's first level of Night dimmer (around dusk) .. then my phone's 2nd level of light dimmer, once it's dark outside. ... These are just right for using my phone anytime at night. ..... But when it's time for 'lights out' and getting in bed, and the room is dark, I need my screen brightness turned Way down.

Great app. Easy to use. On/Off are in the notification drop down. I can customize color filters & brightness and set the time to auto turn on and off if I want. A few apps won't respond unless I turn it off first and then turn it back on after but all the others do too.

I have tried multiple brightness managers, some had more features, or cooler design, but this app is just what I need. Simple, pretty clean, with the right functionalities. Below zero brightness and a blue filter - perfect combination.
