How to log on to Mobile Banking
• If you’re registered for HSBC Online Banking, you can use your existing details
• If you’re not yet registered, simply download the app, then select ‘Register now’.

Move money
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you send money to family or friends using their account details or mobile number. Pay bills with pre-populated bank details for hundreds of major businesses. And instantly move money between your personal accounts.
Mobile statements
With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can securely access your current account, savings and credit card statements.
Mobile cheque deposits
The HSBC UK Mobile Banking app lets you pay in cheques without going to a branch by selecting the account, entering the value then scanning the front and back of the cheque. Please keep any cheques until they show in your account. £2,000 per day. Cheques deposited before 10pm on a working day will be available by 11:59pm the next working day.
Block your card
Ever lost your card, only for it to turn up the moment you cancelled it? With the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app you can place a temporary block on your card with just a few taps. It will stay blocked until you unblock it, or it can be reported as lost or stolen.
Live chat
Need help or assistance? Select 'Chat with us' in the Support menu and, if you’re a Digital Secure Key user, we’ll send you an alert when we reply. So you're free to get on with your day.
Gambling restriction
You can choose to restrict transactions made to gambling businesses, such as casinos and online betting companies, and recurring transactions such as The Postcode Lottery. The block only applies to individual cards held in your name.

With branch hours being so limited these days, it would be really nice if the app actually worked when you need it. Used to be able to pay cheques in fine, but not any more. Absolute mess, with it looping taking pictures no matter how many times you say to use one. Very disappointing, and it seems to have been broken for a while according to reviews - seriously, it can't be that difficult to fix.

Good overall but lacking features and functionality of other bank apps (KBC is top still). Also, lately has become slow to launch (sometimes need to restart) and the issue where your account balance is still visible from a previous issue is still there. (and yes is fully up to date phone and app). Latest update is very cluttered and flashy for no reason... Why are the menu buttons on the top, looks like a desktop lay out.

The new app is horrifically bad, just tried paying a cheque in and it just glitches and kicks me out of the app. You would think with the amount of money these guys have made off their customers they could pay for an app that actually works. -edit- I've rung the number you provided and their advice is to use the app (that doesn't work) or go in the branch (that you've closed). Not really a very good service is it.
