Getting started

You’ll need some data to download the app for the first time, but data charges no longer apply when using the SA app itself. If you have a connection, you can do your banking!

Transactional features are available to Standard Bank accounts held in South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Lesotho, Malawi, eSwatini and Namibia. Keep in mind that some types of payments include transaction fees.

After using the app for over a month now, I find that the budgeting system is very efficient. I always struggled with the competitors version, but this one is very stable and fast. I love the Virtual Card System because it uses a a top up system rather than directly debitting your main account. Can you implement a category in money movement to indicate when you transfer money to a virtual card or other account. Also the Virtual Cards transactions should have more detail, and should be tracked.

I had 1 two problems with standard bank in the past. But i must say, i never had problems with anything on the standard bank app, all my transacting is always fast and smooth... my banking is secure, it dont require data to log in, just a mobile data connection, its extremely reliable, intertransfers never let me down in emergency. Youll better give me the homeloan i deserve when im done with my VAF,live up to your slogan, "it can be" just remember that. Lol

Used to be a decent app until the latest update. Edit: I deleted and reinstalled the app, but the same issue. They "removed your sign in details for your safety", but when you enter the details you previously used, it declares them invalid. To change your details, they ask for card number and password, but it doesn't accept them. So the app is rendered useless. Except balance check. With the previous update I couldn't purchase lotto or electricity until months after I complained.
