Gemini opt-in is rolling out to select devices and countries—opt in to Gemini from your Google Assistant or by downloading the Gemini app.

This app is inconsistent. It was working perfectly and then stopped. Specifically with reading and responding to text messages. A new text will come in, I'll say "Read new text message," and it will respond "no new messages. " Very frustrating! It won't call out anymore, either. Right now, I just use it to tell me the weather. I think this is happening to force everyone to use Gemini, which, by the way, is no better! I switched assistants, hoping it would be better and nothing! Getting an iPhone

My assistant works ok. Not nearly as well as it used to, tho. Seems like it's becoming dumb. Maybe from too many "bug fixes and improvements". I long for the days when you could ask anything, and get a verbal answer every time. I feel like if I hear "I'm sorry, I don't understand", one more time, I'm gonna go buy an iPhone. And definitely no Gemini please. Sounds sketchy, atm

Once I turn the voice recognition, on it works once. I'll say "Hey Google" and it will open. Then when I ask for directions or another question it doesn't hear me anymore because the voice recognition has been turned off. Edit: they replied obviously. I've retrained my voice several times prior to the review. and the links they sent I cannot click on for some reason. I'd take away the star if I could.
