Getting started

You’ll need some data to download the app for the first time, but data charges no longer apply when using the SA app itself. If you have a connection, you can do your banking!

Transactional features are available to Standard Bank accounts held in South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Lesotho, Malawi, eSwatini and Namibia. Keep in mind that some types of payments include transaction fees.

Offers a good mobile banking experience as a Standard Bank client. I'd love to have a secure inbox that I can use to chat to my allocated banker. If I could upload documents for processes such as updating my address that would be prime. I want to be able to do everything and more I can do at a branch so that I don't have to ever visit a branch. It would be nice if scan to pay was intergrated into this app instead of having to use Masterpass however that's minor.

For app adaptive icon and dark mode missing. Also, not a fan of email 2nd factor login, but at least works decently. Card replacement also 2nd most expensive entry account around with no obvious advantage. PureSave still only free checking with broad ATM deposit footprint: cheapest account to deposit cash and EFT. Ps. App keeps prompting for phone permissions even after reject.

I had 1 two problems with standard bank in the past. But i must say, i never had problems with anything on the standard bank app, all my transacting is always fast and smooth... my banking is secure, it dont require data to log in, just a mobile data connection, its extremely reliable, intertransfers never let me down in emergency. Youll better give me the homeloan i deserve when im done with my VAF,live up to your slogan, "it can be" just remember that. Lol
