I recently got a vehicle with sync3 and Android Auto. I've driven and owned others with this feature. In the Android auto Google Maps when you go full screen your car display the car icon is off to the right of the screen, it does not center cutting off the right side of the map. I have read this was an issue in 2019 and 2020 but can't find anything about this problem after that. Has there been a fix to this I can't find. This is aggravating when driving and can't see surrounding traffic

I use Android auto in my Honda CRV I do not have a data plan for the phone that I use it with, so I use it only for turn by turn directions and for listening to previously downloaded podcasts. I have been very happy with it. I do notice that Google maps sometimes refuses to recalculate the route. When it notices I have made a turn it didn't suggest, it tries to send me back to the original route, sometimes long after I would want it to recognize the new route.

Just bought my first car that supports Android Auto, though my wife's car has had it for a while. Being able to have the same interface across manufacturers is great! So is having Google maps, which is constantly kept up to date versus whatever nav setup the manufacturer installed when the car was built. I'm also a fan of the "window pane" arrangement of multiple apps in one view, and the ability to voice text messages that arrive while I'm driving. A huge improvement.
