I tried to use the Esso Mobil app for the first time tonight, I wanted to earn the 5000 points they were promoting to use the app. I authorized Pump 6 where i was at, and the hour glass went round and round, then cancelled. On the pump, it had locked up $150 transaction to my credit card. there were no way to change it on my phone, I had only wanted to pump $30 ($25 would have given me the 5000 points). i finally gave up and used my PC credit card. very disappointing experience

Comon, it's 2024. How a gas giant cannot hire proper people to make an app is beyond me. When I open the app NOT at a gas station, everything loads fine. When I'm actually AT the gas station, it refuses to load, making this app totally useless. I left Esso and went to Shell, their app experience is excellent. Takes prob 10 seconds from opening the app to getting outside to fill up. I just use Shell now.

Unable to link my PC Optimum. Keeps looping and asking me to sign into my PC optimum account than just goes back to the homescreen. Tried calling only got voicemail and no call back. Absolutely useless customer service options. I have reached out to the technical team where I was told to delete the app and reinstall and if that doesn't work to delete my account and setup a new account. Both solutions did not work. Apparently I have been escalated to a higher support level. 🤬
