Requirements - The latest version of Pixel Camera only works on Pixel devices running Android 14 and above. The latest version of Pixel Camera for Wear OS only works on Wear OS 3 (and above) devices connected to Pixel phones. Some features are not available on all devices.

Ratings and reviews

The camera suddenly takes several seconds to take a single photo regardless of it being very well lit. Night shot photos now takes 5 to 7 seconds or so it seems to be able to capture an image. I'm no longer able to just point and shoot. This app needs to be reverted regardless of losing the new features. Destroying the entire experience of a camera to add new "AI" features is not a good practice.

As far as camera apps go on phones, Pixel Camera has plenty of options, both on the still image and as well as the video. There are complaints like wanting more professional settings for more control, yet I believe Google has incorporated enough into the app for it to work for most people. I do wish that some features for the latest flagships would trickle down the past couple of models, such as the new panorama mode in P9 series.

The Pixel Camera 9.6 update ruined photos on my Pixel 9 Pro. Colors are no longer accurate, especially in Night time photos, all images are extremely noisy compared to photos from version 9.4, and the quality changes constantly based on the lens I select. It was way more consistent in version 9.4 and it has just regressed since then. This is unacceptable for a flagship phone.
