Google Voice gives you a phone number for calling, text messaging and voicemail. It works on smartphones and computers, and syncs across your devices so that you can use the app in the office, at home or on the go.

NOTE: Google Voice only works for personal Google Accounts in the US and Google Workspace accounts in select markets. Text messaging is not supported in all markets.

Keep in mind:
• Google Voice is currently only available in the US. Google Voice for Google Workspace users is available in select countries. Check with your administrator for access.
• Calls made using Google Voice for Android can be placed through a Google Voice access number. All access number-based calls use the standard minutes from your mobile phone plan and may incur costs (e.g. when travelling internationally).

Ratings and reviews

Works but has limited features. I wish that Google would give Voice the same features as Messages. You can't share video files, only pictures. You can't react to texts in Voice like you can in Messages & those who use Messages or an iPhone & react to a text, it comes across as a separate text. They clearly have those features available & I'd love to see it integrated into the Voice app. Other than the aforementioned features lacking; the app works as a basic messaging & communication hub.

Its very practical and there is an opportunity to better serve the users And future users regarding the"privacy" options. 1. Per each call, User wanting to be reserved with the contact information. At the current moment it's all or nothing. 2. The option to send voice recordings via messenger is not accessible and or available. This option is a great benefit for those who will not be able to dictate to text. 3. The option to reverse look up phone numbers is becoming crucial

I do love Google voice. Much more so than other text and call apps like "text now". Google voice never expires your number, and you can call or text free as well as have everything forwarded to your personal or business land line or wireless network. You can also make your Google voice called ID show up instead of your personal phone number. You can screen calls as well as record calls. And the voicemail feature with call in ability to check your mail & my favorite, visual voicemail! Thx Google!
