The app is good, and the router is great. However, setup was difficult and not as straightforward as it appeared. The app doesn't work at all set up the router on its own. You have to plug the router into another router that already has Wi-Fi set up. Then you can set up Wi-Fi for the new router, and then you can plug the new router in directly. Very convoluted. The support section of the website is very confusing. I guess they have a bunch of other IT products they're trying to sell you.

The app has developed into something quite fantastic over the humble beginnings, and is critical for my home network management as well as day-to-day customer network management. It warrants 5 stars. But it will only get 3, because standalone setup is now buried and deliberately difficult. And that's knowing what I'm looking for. Walking someone else through it over the phone? Forget it. C'mon guys. Standalone shouldn't be this hard to setup/manage.

Best network system by far. I dumped Eero for UniFi and it is night and day better. Support, features, build quality, aesthetics - all top notch. You won't be wishing for a feature, or a specific product. They have thought of it all. Oh, they have a web interface to manage your networks (vlans, failovers, wifi, devices, etc.) not just one phone app!
