drivewise functionality is awful. worked fine for the first week then stopped recording trips regularly. it went from one or two trips a day to maybe one or two a week. I followed troubleshooting steps to the letter several times over with no luck. and yes, my operating system and app are up to date, and all app settings/permissions are properly set. I'm starting to think you charlatans just don't want to give out the discount you advertised. 🧐 update - 6 months later, still same issues 🤷🏼♂

Hi, we want to reward all your safe driving! To make sure trips are properly recorded: 1. Keep app on and running in the background and 2. Maintain battery charge above 25%. Also, make sure you have the latest version of Allstate Mobile. For more troubleshooting, tap Profile & Settings, Drivewise, then App Diagnostics.

App drains my battery even when Im not driving. It causes my phone to get super hot because it's running constantly in the background. It doesn't track all the trips, so it's impossible to get the required 50. Tried uninstalling/reinsalling and everything recommended by tech support, but nothing helps. It's frustratingly unusable to the point that it seems like they are making it so you can't get the drivewise discount.

Hi, we hear you! And we’re always improving the app to minimize battery drain. Here’s what you can do: Make sure you’ve installed the most recent app update and are using the latest version of your phone’s operating system.

saves a bit of money on your policy. app is easy to use, but you should disable it when not driving to avoid the constant alerts as it claims to be tracking a trip. recently the app changed how it is monitoring when driving and is doing a lot of false "phone activity detected" notes on trips when the phone is in my pocket. may be something with the Bluetooth connection to my car and voice commands? if that activity continues, I will stop using the app.

Hi, the app follows your phone, not your car, so there’s a chance it could record a trip when you’re not actually driving. If this happens, you have a few options: 1) Remove a trip via My Trips, 2) Tap Stop Trip when a trip is in progress or 3) Turn on Standby Mode. Then the trip won’t count toward your driving record.
