Google’s extensive caller ID coverage lets you know the business that’s calling so that you can answer with confidence.

Hold for Me lets you go back to your day. If a business puts you on hold, Google Assistant can wait on the line for you and let you know when someone is ready to talk.

Screen unknown callers ^{1, 2}
Call Screen answers unknown callers, filters out detected spammers without interrupting you, and helps you learn more about callers you don’t recognize before you pick up.

Visual voicemail ^{1, 3}
Check your messages without needing to call your voicemail – view and play them in any order, read transcriptions, and delete or save them right from the app.

suddenly unable to hang up a call, nor do dial tones pass through correctly. it's 2024, why the hell do i have to worry about my PHONE app working correctly on MY PHONE?! Edit: Thanks for the quick reply. Cleaning cache cured the bug. Shouldn't be happening on a 'critical' app though, makes me worried about emergency calls. Updated from 1 to 3 stars for quick reply with a solution that worked.

it's too easy to accidentally launch an app just by putting the phone in your pocket. also many many times when you go to answer a phone call the answer button disappears into the background. also too many times when I go to launch an app it will take me to the first swipe down screen. and to top it off if I go to use voice to text, The voice turns off way too early and I have to keep hitting the microphone button to continue. FIX IT!

I downloaded this app strictly for the phone call recording feature. Once downloaded, that feature won't show in the app. Even going into Google support articles, it doesn't have the option the article says it has. It's very disappointing since Google won't allow other call recording apps. I live in a one party recording state. So, as long as I know the call is being recorded, it's legal. I guess I'll be deleting this app until Google decides I can make recordings of MY OWN PHONE CALLS.
