Industry Leading Security Features
Messages are stored on Proton Mail servers using end-to-end encryption at all times and are transmitted securely between Proton servers and user devices. This largely eliminates the risk of message interception.

Zero Access to Your Email Content
Proton Mail's zero access architecture means that your data is encrypted in a way that makes it inaccessible to us. Data is encrypted on the client side using an encryption key that Proton does not have access to. This means we don't have the technical ability to decrypt your messages.

Open-Source Cryptography

I like the idea of Proton much more than I like using it. I'm starting to think they won't add a 'Delete All' button so they can push their premium subscription on you. The fact is I would never buy a premium subscription to a service missing such a useful feature. The other day I spent over an hour dealing with their painfully slow, clunky interface, deleting one page of junk email at a time, and barely put a dent in it. I'm going to find a better alternative.

Overall works well. My main complaints are that the app doesn't sync well. Emails I've deleted on the desktop are still showing in my inbox. I also don't like that the newest email in a thread appears at the bottom. There's no option to change this, you either live with it or ungroup all emails. I'd be more willing to sign up for a subscription if it weren't for these issues. Edit: I know I can ungroup them, I don't want to.

Several functions do not function correctly. For example - clearing out/deleting your old email drafts doesn't make them go away. The notification that they've been deleted pops up, but all the emails/drafts will remain. I've tried everything to troubleshoot the litany of issues the app has to no avail. Not a fan.
