this app works exactly how it's supposed to. I found it very simple to use, although it took me a little bit to figure it out. Notice the map button on the upper right, which is a little hard to see when one is outside in the sunshine with screen reflections - maybe that could be given a little contrasting circle around it. Once I found the map button, then I was good to go. I'm a senior citizen, and I strongly appreciate the senior discount ✅✅✅

The app takes forever to load, but the problem is the crew. Under normal circumstances if I'm late and they leave seeing me come to board I don't think twice about it. But in this case, I wasnt late and it was below freezing in the weather app, worse on the dock. The boats come roughly every half hour, so that's 30 minutes in below freezing temps out on the water because the crew got cold and wanted to leave early. That's what you get for your purchase of a ticket.

I don't know what was going on, I don't use this app & it's been a few years since I've ridden a NYC Ferry, so I just uninstalled, but recently I started noticing that when following links from other apps (definitely noticed with Twitter), a message would pop up in my default browser (Duck Duck Go) saying "You can open this link in NYC Ferry", with a link to do so. I don't know why NYC Ferry would be registered as an alternative app to open random webpages in, but it stopped after uninstalling
