I bought an MP3 album on your site to play on Amazon music since your app wouldn't respond to me pressing purchase and just kept telling me about bloody unlimited, which originally came with prime until you split it off and named it that. But now even after I bought it online the app STILL won't let me play the music I BOUGHT and continues to only tell me about unlimited!
I loved it before. I've been a prime member for almost 2 years and initially had no intention of not renewing because of the amazing fast free shipping and awesome music app. But then they changed what I have access to in the music app. Now, unless pay more money, songs that were previously in my playlist, I would have to pay for in order to listen to them. Not cool! Please grandfather in the previous prime member to be able to listen to their previous playlists! This may be a deal breaker for next year's subscription. :(
Not bad. Not much wiggle room. I write music so if tracks aren't labeled properly before importing they can't be edited from the app, at least I don't think so. Somewhat limited selection. Slipknot's self titled and Iowa aren't even on here. But if you're into the main stream, your boat's afloat. I share it w/ fam members so it actually super great in that respect. Neat to see what everyone is up to musically. And yeah, you can import any music so really it capable of being a solid "go to" player.
The developers refuse to add Chromecast support, if you are looking to use Chromecast spend your money elsewhere. Google Play Music and Spotify are both better alternatives. This library is going to decrease is quality in an effort to push a premium subscription. I already pay for prime. It might be time to drop Amazon subscription services all together.
Hate the fact the app only sometimes works. Always stops and plays like a broken record. Has always done this makes it frustrating and unusable. Been prime for a long time had this problem since the first time I've used it. Uninstall reinstall app PLUS all music again still happens yes all active permissions are on. Big promises with little follow through.
Pretty good overall I really just use Amazon Music because I have a Prime membership. Nothing really separates Amazon Music from its competitors except the ease of consolidating resources. (That is, music, video streaming, shopping, and data storage being in the same place for a flat rate.) I've had some issues with the app crashing, but updates get put out pretty quickly when there are prominent bugs.
