Ratings and reviews

In this digital era, this app is running a decade behind. The app requires the sim to be in same mobile in which app is installed for authentication. If you remove your sim card for some reason, the app won't work. And they tell you it's for enhanced security. There are 100 of ways to guarantee security without causing inconvenience to users. ICICI needs to learn from other banks how to design a good app for users convenience. ICICI seems to be bent upon frustrating it's own customers.

Very easy to use. The only problem is that when there is a new version available, the transactions fail until the app is updated. Many times when it was urgent to transfer money it failed. I learnt it later that an update of the app fixes the issue. Yet it is frustrating to update app before doing transactions where the transactions could have been smooth and quick.

Irritating browser popups have started recently and keeps showing up at random times. Imagine someone is driving with map open and this popup shows up asking for dev mode to be turned off. Its just too risky to be there on the phone i think. No other banking application i use does this. Looks like a defect which instead of properly fixing, they just went in with a workaround and hung on to it without bothering too much.

1. Experience new and seamless prepaid mobile recharge service
2. Now avail Paylater EMI without logging in. Go to swipe to scan on Non logged in page scan QR and choose PayLater EMI for transaction.
3. You can purchase gift cards for yourself and other people from well-known retailers like Amazon, Nike etc.
4. Now UPI number can be used as alias to alphanumeric UPI Id (abc@icici) to make seamless transactions and it can be created post generating UPI ID
