This is not a review of the First Progress credit card. I've had mine for years. But their app is garbage. I've tried numerous times to sign up for Auto Pay, the app says I'm signed up for auto pay, but no payment is ever taken from my account and I'm hit with a late fee. Called into their phone number only to find out you can't even sign up for auto-pay over the phone. Just tried via the web portal and hopefully this one works. Disappointed.

There are better secured credit cards available, spend a few moments to find them. First Progress cards don't have a chip or NFC and cannot be added to Apple or Google Wallet. The physical card looks like it's from the year 2000. FP closed my account and I didn't even notice at first because I never use it. Getting my deposit back to about a month, and I had to be persistent.

They charge late fees even when the payment is received on time. Then the customer service team acts incompetent and says they can't help. Update to the reply: Yes, I can read. My payment shows as posted to the account, each month, 10 days before the due date. And each month, 10 days after the payment has POSTED, you hit me with a $41 late fee. I'm sending in payments via check, 2 weeks before the due date, and you still hit me with late fees. Fix it. I have a lawyer working on this.
