SmartHQ lets you manage and control a variety of smart appliances from GE Appliances, GE Profile, Café, Monogram, Fisher & Paykel, and Haier to give you total control of your headquarters, your home.

Replaces Café Appliances app, Monogram app and GE Laundry app.

• REMOTE CONTROL – remotely monitor and control your SmartHQ enabled appliances so you can do things like turn your oven on when you are heading home
• VOICE INTEGRATION – Select SmartHQ enabled Appliances work with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant -- now you can multi-task with ease!
• NOTIFICATIONS – Receive helpful alerts from your smart appliance that tell you when your oven is done pre-heating or if you left the refrigerator door open and many others
• SERVICE ALERTS – Get notified if your appliance needs attention
• SOFTWARE UPDATES - Keep your smart appliance up-to-date and access new features for your smart appliance as soon as they become available

It's a really bad app. Notifications only work sometimes - sometimes they don't show and other times they're just wrong. It makes me verify my location (by turning location on) every time I use it, even if only minutes apart. Only one user can be connected to the appliances via the app. Sometimes the whole app just stops working. And the only thing I'm able to do for my washer/dryer is turn on an extended tumble, which is a great feature, but I was hoping to be able to do more remotely.

This is an app that lets you see some basic information. But let's be honest, you have these appliances because you use them all the time. So why not make the app a true remote, and control more features. Lastly, the app is just slow. The lag makes it challenge. If it was more responsive it would at least feel more polished. In the end, yes I can see my oven is on, my ice maker is full, but if you're going to focus on having an app, why not make it as user friendly as possible?

Updated review: Still frustrated. I use app to schedule ice making for my Opal 2.0. After testing several scenarios, I am confident there's a bug in the scheduler module. The appliance always turns on at the correct time. However, it never shuts off when scheduled. I always have to go into the Smart HQ app and manually shut it off. I've tried a single scheduled event as well as splitting it across multiples events with no success. For ex: Turn On: 6am EST/ Turn Off:8pm EST
