original review: This is such a slow and buggy app. update: support reached out and said to clear the cache. it's still a slow and buggy app. messages is trying to do too much, too many things for too many people. get back to basics, functional and reliable 100% of the time without having to clear a cache.

Every time I get a picture it gives me an automatic pop up to suggest a reaction emoji which covers up any message that was sent with the picture. They added two icons into the typing box for pictures and stickers which are both redundant with the plus icon that they already have to the left of the box. Plus there's an icon to the right for sending a voice recording. None of it can be turned off so it's a cluttered mess which makes you accidentally tap the wrong thing when trying to reply.

After an update, for the past couple of months, my messages will not transfer to my vehicle. My phone calls and music will play on my 2017 Camry, but the messages will not transfer. Once in a blue moon, they will randomly transfer, but then stop. I have had Totota check the car and it is fine. I have allowed all permissions for this app to no avail. I have checked Google Assistant and don't see where I need to allow any permissions there. Please help!
