Amazing silence player. This is a great program for preventing playback of audio files. The crystal clear quality of the silence is unrivaled. Must be unheard to be believed. The best part is it works in the very background. It doesn't even open! So efficient. It incorporates seamlessly with some other apps, becoming the default sound-canceler for their audio files. No more ear damage; just open your files with this app and listen to your surroundings at a natural and safe volume. Thank you Google for this piece of software.
Battery Hog!!! OK so Play Music is OK. I have used Spotify as my main music provider for the last 2 years. I decided to give Google a try but I noticed that play music is a battery Hog. I was easily getting around 5 hours of heavy use(not gaming) on my S7 but when I started using this service my phone only gave me about 4 hours of use. This went the on for about 2 weeks. So I stopped using it for a whole day thru 2 battery charge cycles and I'm back to 5 hours. Can someone explain why??? I was considering switching.
Keeps getting better When I first started using this, didn't really liked it that much because there were too many things on my face. But now UI looks clean and simple. One thing holding me back from using this as my only music player is the ability to change the song name, artist, album and album art. If that can be possible then this would be the greatest m player entirely. As of now keep up the good work.
Keeps Getting Better As a former Spotify premium user, GPM has turned it up yet again vs the competition. The new UI on the home screen is visually appealing and it recommends stations from artists I've been enjoying recently. There are a few things I believe would make GPM that much better. Night mode with dark background colors for easier viewing at night would be a welcomed addition for many. The last thing I'd appreciate is bringing back the dark GPM widget. The current bright white widget destroys the eyes at night.
Sort out the folder management Great app love it but the folder management needs to be split and categorised more intelligently. In my music folder if I have a album in Google play cloud and the same album on my device it is displayed twice. Which is just ridiculous! What makes it worse is when casting to the chromecast the internal album can not, but the uploaded can. Which is which with no clear distinction? A update is needed to correct this before everyone decides to use a more intuitive music service. Online/Offline split is needed
Works great! Tons of music. I really like the app. I pay for the monthly subscription and it has more than paid for itself. I listen to a lot of 90's punk and it has nearly everything I've looked for. My only negative is the underground house and techno selection. Not enough of it. Plenty of new school "electronic" music (EDM) if your into that. I usually go to the songs section and hit shuffle. Google: The best feature a music app could have would be to notify the user every time an artist in their selection releases a new album
