Ratings and reviews

Easily connects to waze and amazon music. It's frustrating that the default music player is Pandora and even after uninstalling Pandora it still defaults to Pandora so you have to specify Amazon music every time you request a song or album. If you forget it will play different songs on Amazon and Pandora at the same time. Wish you could set default music app. Other than no way to default music app I love Android auto and use it all the time.

Since the most recent update, I am no longer getting text message notifications, neither the sound nor the pop-up on my auto screen. If I'm driving with my eyes on the road, I can't keep glancing at the screen to look for the tiny little 1 that appears in the notification bar to realize I've gotten a text. I used to get an audio notification and a pop-up window.

Great when it works, terrible when it doesn't. There's no real consistency to the app's performance, and Google is exactly zero help with issues. You'll essentially pray for every update to not be a mess, and fix other messes. Good luck. UPDATE 5/9/24: App has become progressively worse with every update. Constant crashes in the middle of my commutes, they just can't seem to get anything working at all. Responses to reviews are canned, asking for more information. Useless.
