About this app

This is the service that allows use of your Android phone or tablet as a remote for your Android TV. Easily switch between d-pad and touchpad modes to navigate content and play games on your Android TV device. Tap the mic to start a voice search, or use the keyboard to input text on Android TV.

To get started, connect your Android phone or tablet to the same network as your Android TV device or find your Android TV via bluetooth.

Works with all Android TV devices.

google home "open remote" is not working well and the remote often gets stuck when changing apps

A nice to have for using a phone as a full keyboard but sucks since it's started forcing me to use it all the time. I don't carry a phone with me all over the house and especially not at night. I eventually had to install a third-party keyboard. I replaced my original Chromecasts with A-TVs mostly to have remote control without having to unlock and open phones apps first.

My application is to enter/edit long text strings into an NVIDIA IPTV box. They are difficult to type accurately on the remote of the TV box, and often need to be entered repetitively. I bought this app to do that from my phone (with its usable keypad) and copy/paste into the TV box. Although I could enter the strings via my phone with the app, there is no way (that I could find) to do the copy/paste from the phone/app to the TV box... which was sort of the whole point.
