If you opt in to the Gemini app, it will replace your Google Assistant as the primary assistant on your watch. Some Google Assistant voice features aren't available through the Gemini app yet. You can switch back to Google Assistant in Settings.

Ratings and reviews

Just looked at the other reviews here, and it looks like I'm not the only one facing frustrating problems. When I launch assistant it doesn't seem to hear anything I say. Sometimes it can perfectly transcribe what I'm saying, but still isn't able to provide search results. I think this is a recent update problem because it worked perfectly fine for the past year.

This provides answers that are too short. Also, it randomly guesses what I say instead of what I actually said. Also, it can obnoxiously turn on music I never told it to turn on and turn on things in my home. Also, it doesn't listen well or think through things. It also doesn't allow you to stay on a precious chat instead of starting a new one.

Having this on my wrist feels like living in the future. It's great for setting alarms, timers, adding tasks, taking notes, and asking questions. It uses the same voice and personality that's in the app on my phone. My only real hope for a future update is that it gains the ability to remember past chats.
