Got to the last step of the booking and received an error to enter my phone number (number already shown in online profile) but was taken to a page that does not include a place to enter my number. Finally found it on the subsequent booking step. Then my credit card was out of date but the app does not allow entering of payment info. So I updated my profile on the web page, but the app still showed the old card. Quit and restarted, same thing. Finally cleared the app data and it worked, but of course at that point I had to go through the entire reservation again. Overall not a convenient experience.

This app works as often as it doesn't. The scrolling is jittery and it'll often throw errors with links suggesting what to do, but the links never actually work, e.g., "there are no vehicles available at this location, would you like to [see vehicles at nearby locations]?" but you can't actually look at nearby locations, you just have to search and choose one, but it doesn't give you any proximity details, so you may be looking at the 5th closest location to your airport and have no idea.

I used this app for years, but now it's really messed up! I have to log in every time ('remember me' is a lie), and today it didn't work at all. Last time, time entry is a fight: I scrolled to select 9:30am (I wish I could just type it!), & it changes it to a random time: midnight, midday, 7pm 😕. 'Contact us' function just goes to a blank screen, so I rang my Hertz office, but at the end of the phone maze it said I should use this broken app! Hertz isn't worth the loyalty programme any more.
