This app desperately needs a home button. It's frustrating to have to click back through a lot of articles after having read them just to get back to the front headlines page. Also the background downloading of articles generally doesn't work. There have been plenty of times when I've been on flights with no WiFi and when I open this app only a paltry few if any articles have been downloaded for offline reading. Even if it were to work there's no option to download only when on a charger.

I really like this app that the good folks at the Times work hard to provide and support. It would just be nice if All-access subscribers could get Spelling Bee hints to open in a new window instead of "backbrowsing (My word. I said it first!)" 2 or 3 screens before being able to reaccess puzzle. 'Hints' can be forgotten by then! Otherwise a wonderful app the Times has shown a clear commitment to! A valuable complement to the Paper!

A well designed app, generally works without any glitches. Sometimes graphics will glitch occasionally, but I've noticed it less and less in the past year or so. Times journalism is also very high quality. Almost always at the forefront of important and breaking news. Of course, always be aware of bias and double check stories across multiple sources for the fullest picture.
