Downgraded due to invasion of privacy... It's unbelievable that this app is requesting permission to read the OS logs for the same or similar feature set that it's sister Wallet app doesn't need it. Why? CIBC's mobile app offers similar features with much less intrusive permissions. Why don't you guys switch to the new permission model requesting permissions when needed? Maybe I don't want to use Interac money transfer feature, I should be able to not grant those permissions and still use the test of the app.
SERIOUS PRIVACY RAPE: *CONTACTS & APP HISTORY*?? i had no choice but to install this "secure" privacy-raping trojan, to accept an e-interac payment. READ THE PERMISSIONS!! Security means LEAST TRUST, NOT WHOLESALE MOLESTING... transaction done, they now have all my contacts and my app-history, and more, and i am committed to never trussting this vile institution more than i would my molester! Cheers.
Depositing cheques still causes crashes but not nearly as often before the last time I reviewed the app. I am using a Nexus 6P fully updated (Android 7.0 and latest security updates), not rooted, not modified.
Works decently enough for my needs - I can check my account balances and perform transactions, good enough for me. User interface isn't that bad, would rather have a functional app for banking instead of a pretty one that might not work across the myriad of Android versions out there. :-) Thanks for adding Wallet support to Android 6, I'll try it out. Edit Oct. 20, 2016: Really like the support for fingerprint authentication, so much more convenient! I have a strong passphrase for my login, and it's fairly difficult to enter on a smartphone. Thanks!
Will deserve 5 stars once it becomes open source and when it supports bitcoin transactions. If this application is truly secure, then it will not need to rely on hiding its source code, but will be secure by design. Supporting bitcoin is a basic requirement of banking in the digital age.
Can't sign in Every time I sign in it tells me the app stopped working so I can't access my banking. Everything was fine until I updated the app a few days ago.
