Having issues with doing manual recordings on the app. I click record but no pause button comes up. Then it records 4 minutes of something I don't want. I've restarted the app many times and I have also checked to see if there were any updates but there are none. What am I missing here?

One of those apps that puts ads in the in-app notifications constantly. Also, smart actions can't be triggered with electrical sensor readings. For example, can't automate having a port on a smart strip turn on when another senses wattage is now over 5w. Pretty bare bones. The KP125M "Power" tab doesn't update in real time. Bit of a shame to lose that functionality the older smart plugs have.

You can go to the Kasa app>Me>Notifications to turn off Promotional Messages if you do not want to receive notifications about exclusive offers or new products. Its a decent app that needs some improvement to be better. The biggest flaw is watching the recodings and downloading them. When watching, the timeline is extremely sensitive. Once you lift your finger from finding the spot you want, it'll move tremendously like you flicked it. You have to be very careful to get the timestamp you want. When downloading, it saves minute by minute, hour by hour. Why?!? It's infuriating trying to find the clip you need.
