The My BMW App is optimised for vehicles built from 2014 onwards. The availability of individual app functions depends on your vehicle equipment and your BMW ConnectedDrive contract. The availability of app functions may vary between countries.

Ratings and reviews

I have the same issue as one person in the reviews said they're in Portugal but get UK number. I also can't set my preferred BMW service location because I'm supposedly from UK. The location marked in the settings is Portugal. I also get miles in messages when in the settings it's kilometres. Another problem is I don't see widgets anymore. It tells me to log in but I didn't have that problem before and logging in again doesn't fix anything.

Absolutely shocking poor App. When it does an update wipes everything and when I try to access the App again for my car in Portugal, it does not work. My car is a Portuguese car and then tells me to call a number. Turns out the number is a UK number and they can't help and they don't even have the contact number for the connected drive team in Portugal. Doesn't anyone test this App before releasing a version to ensure it should still work afterwards with minimal intervention.

For some reason, even with the map navigation on my iDrive fully updated I can't find certain POIs through iDrive. After finding about his app, for some time, I was able to look up the POI or destination and then select "send to my BMW". Now, on the latest update we can't do this anymore. Will this be a paid feature only moving forward? I hope not EDIT: Turns out it's a paid service and that's a shame. If only iDrive would find the POIs in the first place... Useless app then
