The tickets in the app are only valid when presented alongside your passport!!! They require everyone's email address, just to buy a ticket, and the ticket is also not immediately valid, you have to wait a couple minutes (it has a countdown...). Neither of these issues exist for physical tickets, so i guess I'm done with this predatory app that only serves to collect personal data for BVG and help controllers catch paying customers on a technicality they can't control.

Hi Matthew, we are sorry that you are no longer satisfied with the app! An account is always created and the introduction of the 60-second countdown was a decision of the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB), not the BVG, we (as well as all other transport companies in the transport network) have to follow these guidelines and implement them.

The UX might be much better: when you re-open the app, having an active ticket, it navigates you on a Purchase screen instead of the Tickets screen, as well as you can't anyhow know that you have an active ticket unless you go to the Tickets screen by yourself. Apps should simplify our life, but not this one - this one just force you to train your memory 🤓

Very useful compared to buying the physical ticket most of the time, especially when I have the monthly ticket, I am less likely to forget the ticket if its on my phone. But the problem is the loading time and purchasing has too many kinks. Sometimes it takes over 10 to 15min to complete a purchase, making me miss my ride out of fear of getting a ticket because the app does not work. I would work on making the process smoother and better explanation to the rules of each tickets.

Hi Natasha, our colleagues are already checking why the activation sometimes takes too long. What may help is to use only mobile data or wi-fi during the process of buying. What do you mean by "better explanation to the rules"? There is a small "i" icon at each ticket which explains the most important information in regard to this ticket
