About this app

PTSD Coach was designed for Veterans and military Servicemembers who have, or may have, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This app provides users with education about PTSD, information about professional care, a self-assessment for PTSD, opportunities to find support, and tools that can help users manage the stresses of daily life with PTSD. Tools range from relaxation skills and positive self-talk to anger management and other common self-help strategies. Users can customize tools based on their preferences and can integrate their own contacts, photos, and music. This app can be used by people who are in treatment as well as those who are not.

PTSD Coach was created by VA’s National Center for PTSD and DoD’s National Center for Telehealth & Technology.

I wish I could delete data from it. I kind of rushed through one of the surveys and I'm worried it wasn't quite accurate and now it's stuck there permanently. The resources to read are also not that geared toward my issues/situation, like other people said, it doesn't consider traumatizing experiences beyond the military, so it's less useful for developmental trauma or other issues.

a very useful app that is well thought out and easy to use. I've had several times when I sensed an episode of PTSD might happen. I have several favorite tools I've found so I can quickly access. Help me de escalate. I also use the daily quote option. It's nice to get positive thought of the day. Job well done designers.

The PTSD app is a valuable resource, providing helpful information and tools for us struggling with PTSD. However, the user interface could definitely use a major upgrade. It's a bit clunky and outdated compared to other apps. A more modern and intuitive design would make it even more user-friendly. Additionally, incorporating some AI features could enhance the app's capabilities and provide personalized support.
