About this app

The new VA Video Connect application for Android expands VVC capability to Android users. VVC Android connects Veterans with their health care team from anywhere, using encryption to ensure a secure and private session. The app makes VA health care more convenient and reduces travel times for Veterans, especially those in very rural areas with limited access to VA health care facilities, and it allows quick and easy health care access from Android mobile devices.

So here's the issue. It works fine when in the process of making calls. After leaving a call, my microphone will no longer be usable, period. Not for Google assistant, nor for calls or anything. My microphone is completely disabled. I even tried changing settings in my phone, or force closing this app, it did not work. I have to restart my device to get my microphone to work again. I have a bad memory, so I may forget, and then when I make or receive an important call, nobody can hear me.

Thank you for letting us know you repeatedly lose use of your microphone after your appointment ends. We have shared this information with the team to help them investigate further.

Great tool for veterans, especially disabled veterans, to stay connected. Allows easy access to documents, paperwork, identification, medical records, prescription information, appointments, benefits, etc.

After 4 years of regularly using VA Video Connect I've only had any connection issues twice. One time it was no video only audio and the other time was the opposite, no audio only video which was fun trying to communicate. So other than those problems it's been a reliable video communication program. Please just leave it alone and don't change a thing and I'll be using it for years.
