I could write a 5,000 word essay about the downfall of YouTube, but I'll keep in short and concise. I'm sick of the ads, I'm sick of the bots, I'm sick of the low-effort bs, and I'm sick of the ludicrously strict content guidelines, and I'm not even going to go into the AI age verification. YouTube's fall began around when it implemented double ads. Then things got worse when they introduced Shorts. Now everything has gone to hell. The only way to fix this is to actually LISTEN TO YOUR USERBASE.

Youtube is only as fun as the creators, but they get censored for kids [on a Rated T app]! Ads galore, to the point where it starts to affect videos. Recently, whenever an ad pops up, the quality of the video gets worse, slowing down dramatically! There's a lot of annoying bugs tbh— ex, if I click on an ad by accident on my phone and try to click off it, it kicks me out of app. I'll keep using it, but if my favorite youtubers changed sites... it wouldn't be a big loss to change with them.

I went from getting 1-2 add breaks a video to getting BOMBARDED by ads. The last video I watched was 25-ish minutes long, and I got 12 ADS. On top of that, I've blocked certain ads multiple times and they still show up. YouTube is starting to feel like those web articles that have more ads than content. This needs to be fixed soon, or someone is going to make a better alternative platform. Edit: I've blocked and reported a specific ad multiple times and it still plays every three videos.
