Good Value, Easy to Read in Text Mode I have been a subscriber to PCPro for a number of years now, my subscription is due for renewal so thought I would give the electronic version a try (although I might miss the DVD from time to time). I'm converted, I find the convenience of having the magazine on my Nexus 7 with all the weblinks to hand is the way forward for me. I like the text mode which makes it easy to read without the constant in and out zooming on some of the magazine apps (FlyPast is one that comes to mind). Yes it does have some shortcomings, no bookmarks and sharing, maybe that will be addressed at some point, if they are then it's a 5 star.
CHAOS SOMEONE ACCIDENTLY PUNCHES IN NUMERIC CODE TO NEW HAVEN ELECTRIC GRID LOCAL NEWS STORY. THAT WAS EITHER DURING HOLIDAY SEASON OF 2004, OR THE SPRING OF 2005.
Since Google Newsstand changed to Google News it's hard to find the magazine I've paid for. I can't read the issues I've downloaded. Emailed PcPro but got zero help with this problem. Likely I will cancel my subscription if I continue to be unable to read the magazine offline.
Why can't I use existing subscription with the android version? I currently subscribe via the main PC pro website and have the digital version that I can access by use of a user name and password. This enables me to use windows 8 or the iOS app from the apple store with my iPad, but I am unable to do this with the android app as it wishes me to set up a new subscription. It would be great to be able to read on my iPad b at home and nexus 7 when out and about. Will this feature be ever added?
Low resolution, no sharing and no bookmarking The content and the price are very good, but the display of the magazine on a Nexus 10 is very low quality. Text is ragged and very uncomfortable to read when zoomed in magazine view. There is a text view which looks very good, but unlike with Zinio, you can't copy the text or email it for later reading. There are also no bookmarking facilities.
Free 30 day "trial offer", only if You buy it !! What kind of free trial is that? Pc morons have no common sense..even Sheldon could figure that one out !!!!
