Fantastic Pricey for digital version?????? Its ￡5 for the paper one, that can get lost, wet, ripped, scrunched up and annoying. Been buying the mag since issue one and will never get another paper copy! first experiance of digital mags and am sold!! Superb image quality and content is as good as ever! have been made to eaby all my old mags (wife) so will never read them again!!! got the digi version forever!!! particularly liked the ereader esque function for most large articles, really stops me getting side tracked by the photo's and info blasts which i can then go back to! really really happy. keep up the good work guys!!!
The app is not using the entire screen on Nexus 6 You can view the pages only through a small square in the middle of the screen. It looks like the dev didn't bothered to test it on a phablet. I just unsubscribed and will ask for a refund, because reading inside a little square is so unpleasant.
Fine as a one-off read The one issue covers too many different systems and games and over too long a period of time, from the early 80's up to about 2010, so most of the articles are quite brief and cover some things that are aren't that old. It would be better if in each issue they concentrated on fewer systems and games from one particular year/decade with just the one, more detailed article, on the development of game, system or software/hardware company as a special item for that issue. It was a interesting read but not something that I would subscribe to or read regularly as I feel is would get monotonous.
Will stick with the print edition I have found the text is rather blurry and not that clear at all when zooming. I am not sure why this is. It is the same on the only other magazine I have downloaded (T3 Magazine). The text viewer mode works great but Retro Gamer needs to be viewed as the original magazine was intended to be due to the wonderful artwork. Quite disappointed, I would definitely subscribe if the image quality when zooming was higher. Decent price though as it is £2 cheaper than the print version (which I will be buying).
Great! Yes! Great to see you guys at the play store, mag looks great! Now, please play along with the rest and offer month to month subs, and lower the price of past issues, I'd be grabbing all of them at a rate of 2 or 3 per month. While you're at it, I wouldn't mind a lower price, charging the same as the paper mag is wrong, and you know it. I want you to grow now that your target market is so much bigger, would hate to see your rating take a dip but that's what will most probably happen if not.
Hacknied crapola! I don't know why this magazine exists. If you are really into vintage micros and read commodore user and beebug etc first time around you dont need this cash in on nostalgia crap. It's a rip off.
