I downloaded this on my iPad around 5 years ago through the web designer app and the only issue I had with it was the resolution. Text was too small and pixelated so had to zoom in to be able to read. It got annoying to move all over the page. Decided best to go back to print and figured it would be resolved after awhile. Well, I was wrong. Downloaded the latest issue today through Google Play Newsstand hoping it would be easy to read on desktop and it still shows the text as small and pixelated. Again, I have to zoom in and move around the page in order to read on a 27" screen. Will read it just because I bought it but will not pay for a full digital subscription until this gets resolved. It is not an enjoyable reading experience. What would be nice is if 1 page is shown at a time like a book in iBooks and I think they have to use a different layout structure for the digital version on mobile like a responsive design website. With all the graphics I can understand why it is hard to fit it all onto 1 screen for the mobile devices. Really I would be happy if they could make the text legible on desktop without the need to zoom in and scroll around.
NO DVD! How about content downloads? At this price, almost much as the paper mag we miss out on all the extras... The actual bonuses I pay for! Articles, tuts & magazine highlights is not worth the digital copy!! A must have downloadable chapter content is the only way this digi-copy is worth the extras inside...otherwise it is a reminder of a cheap PC or Artistic mag. Get with the original program... newsagencies will miss DVDs while it is my right 2 burn the dvds & replace. 6.99$ is the value of a CD insert photoshop tutorial paper mag!
Legibility on Digital Version I think the quality of the digital export needs to be upped a bit. The text is pretty artifacted and hard to read unless you are zooming in quite a bit. (But when zooming in, you can see all of the compression artifacting). I would rather the file size be a bit larger with more legible text than having a smaller file size that is harder to read. I do love the magazine... just wish it looked a bit more crisp in the digital version.
Too Expensive They Don't have to pay postage or printing.....yet it still costs this much....laughable. Most of the tips and tricks I can find fr free on the web.
Publisher Failed to Respond Failed to email me back about being able to access online material at filesilo, cannot find where subscription id is for magazine???? not google transaction id respond and i will change to 5 star
Good magazine but There isn't any sort of equivalent for the fact that the CD is missing, and the CD has things you really need. For this reason, after using their CSS hover tutorial, it ended up being a total waste of time.
