Ratings and reviews

This app has gotten terrible by trying to be too cute. Often doesn't recognize the actual language of the message it should translate. Translates to a language you don't want. Hard to find default settings (if they exist) to correct those and hard to correct them quickly manually. Is not nearly as easy to use as the web version. Another instance where Google is rushing out software without decent QA. Shame!

During conversation mode, the last part of am the translated text is cut off during the read aloud. This causes many issues and I'm forced to hit the play button and have the entire translation read all over again. This has been going on for over a year. I thought it was my Pixel 6a. However, it's still happening on my Pixel 8 Pro. Please fix this. It's extremely frustrating.

Generally reliable translations between English, French, Italian, and Spanish. I'm disappointed that my translation history was deleted by the web activity setting to delete stuff after 3 months. That setting needs to be more clearly explained, more granular ie by app. Lost many key phrases. Could care less about search history or YouTube history, but I have to turn off web activity deletion to keep my translations! I don't like the recent UI changes in this app.
