I really enjoy being able to cast my phone to the truck's dashboard screen using Android Auto. This enables me to use my phone apps to navigate, listen to a podcast started at home and finished while driving, and voice text. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it sometimes displays the error message "disconnected" at the worst times like navigating in a big city. It reconnects in less than 5 minutes, but it's a bit frustrating. Android Auto, I use it every time I drive.

Close, but not quite firing on all cylinders yet. Sound drops out from time to time, and while I appreciate decluttering the apps, there is too much functionality removed. I can't search music easily, and while my audio book app has the ability to bookmark, I can't move between bookmarks or chapters. A big gripe I have is that I can't look at alternate routes in Google Maps after I've started navigation. I frequently want to look ahead and see what traffic is like over the whole route.

My wife turns on the car, my phone connects and blasts whatever music I listened to last. There's no way to NOT automatically connect, and there's no option to NOT auto play music. These are the simplest, most obvious low hanging fruit features that could be implemented. Google's had these requests for many years. But they've chosen to do nothing. That's why AA will never be good.
