Ratings and reviews

This app (Files by Google), the best I can give is 3 stars. It works and it's not buggy... but I'm not comfortable with the layout. There are too many options that SHOULD be available, but aren't. Can't set this app the way I would like it to be, so it's history. I've looked at others, and 2 file managers, 'FX' and 'Amaze' look very good, Both are free, ad free, and both appear excellent, I haven't chosen which yet. That's All.

It always works well. It looks at duplicates, stuff you haven't used in a while, and big stuff. (photos, screenshots, documents, and apps) You don't have to completely decide at one time. By that I mean you can choose something and look at it. Then send it to trash or not. In trash you can look at it again and restore it, or you can completely delete it. I have a 2023 Moto g Stylus that always runs fast, thanks to this tool.

I wish the system cache is easier to get to. Like, the first thing you see. Additionally, when deleting from trash, I wish the thumbs were able to enlarge fully, (when using the app on Google Play, for a moto g stylus 5g). Mainly, because it's the last time before permanent deletion you have the ability to view the photo. I had a number of pics I wanted one last look at to ensure I was comfortable with deletion. The photos in question had approx 30% of it out of the frame.
