App used to have a keyboard for command entry. It no longer does. I'm hearing impaired, so voice commands are problematic. I really would appreciate having the ability to type commands again. Also, because only voice commands, and my hearing issues, it rarely understands what I'm saying. *a year later and this is still an issue. seriously, a keyboard option for us with hearing issues. come on. 7-25-25

The transition from the Nest app into Google home has been abysmal... when I want to review my cameras it only works about 25% of the time. Thankfully the lock for my front door works because it's controlled in the nest app still. They moved the service away from the nest app, increased my monthly price, reduced functionality, and it doesn't work on top of that.

Camera apps live view rarely shows up correctly. Always needs a retry to see "live" mode and still doesn't work most of the time. incredibly annoying. Setting up the face detection is laughably cumbersome. This is really poorly put together for a Google product. Especially when I've looked at my other friends/colleagues alternative apps/products and theirs just work right from the start.
