App used to have a keyboard for command entry. It no longer does. I'm hearing impaired, so voice commands are problematic. I really would appreciate having the ability to type commands again. Also, because only voice commands, and my hearing issues, it rarely understands what I'm saying. *a year later and this is still an issue. seriously, a keyboard option for us with hearing issues. come on. 7-25-25

Trash app. Impossible to set up old audio Chromecasts. Devices don't appear so they can be added be added to speaker groups Even when they are in the main device list. The app always defaults into showing a view that doesn't show all devices. Device management is a chore. No ability to search for devices even though this is a Google product. Casting is glitchy to speakers, the audio dropouts consistently, sometimes speakers appear in groups or drop in and out of groups without explanation.

new releases seem to vary from significant improvement to extreme clunkiness like a pre-release version. Like most of Google apps these days, there is very little consistency in UX. the button that was at the top will be at the bottom next month, and vice versa in 6 months. But you're stuck with this if you've bought any of the Google home devices. also - importing old cams from the nest app will result in them becoming less reliable. yay.
