Praise
"The popular Couch to 5K app helps new runners avoid injury from doing too much, too soon."
—Runners World, June 2012

"It's ridiculously easy to use (it's hard not to, as you just do what you're told) and it's fantastic that you have an encouraging voice talking you through things."
—Engadget, June 2012

"Active.com’s Couch to 5K is one of my favorite… apps. With its customizable features, interactivity, and well-rounded interface, I may actually stay off the couch this time."
—148Apps, October 2011

"I knew as soon as I decided to start the Couch to 5K program that I would need something to keep me accountable—not just to showing up for my training, but to actually doing it properly. Of course there’s an app for that."
—CalorieLab, April 2012

"If you have been struggling to get your buns off the couch and somewhat in shape before the summer hits, training for a 5K is not a bad way to start. If you are looking for a program to help get you there, then the “Couch to 5K” running plan by CoolRunning is probably your best bet if you haven’t done an ounce of athletic activity for a number of years."
—Droid Life, April 2012

This app is fairly dated now with the character animations, but it's still my go to app for c25k as its easy to pair with Spotify and it's simple to use. However, the GPS and pacing no longer works properly, which is irksome for those that need to track their distance and pace. I wanted my partner to use this app, but it's not worth £4.49 for the reasons above imo.

Giving 1 star because I can't give 0. I've been out 3 days with this now, each time having to restart 3 times because it constantly crashes saving zero information. Only one of those 9 attempts did I make it (only just) past half way before it crashed. Contacted support. Told me to make sure GPS was on (which is was every time) and they 'don't give refunds'. Been through every FAQ for solutions but same crashing every time I try a session. So yeah. Awful app worse customer services. Shame.

Do not buy this app! The program is great. It does help you learn to jog. I've used the app for 3 weeks and I can see an improvement in my fitness lever. BUT the app keeps on closing itself! What use is it if you don't know where you are in the day's exercise. Should I be walking or jogging? Even when you restart the app and skip to where you think you where, you can't log the full exercise, only what you've done after you restarted the app. Had to do this twice in one day. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
