The app now requires a subscription for step-by-step explanations, a feature that was free for more than 3 years. Before this app was an undisputed king of calculator apps that was easy to use and intuitive. Now (since they operate a subscription model not a one time purchase) just buy chat gpt or other ai model for a better and more versatile product. It is still a pretty good calculator though. Cannot wait for them to require subscription for using matrices or other essentials. Fun times.

It often helps me understand many math problems, but it lags almost all the time, so I can't click the explanation. And the app doesn't trust I can take pictures in good quality, it has to refocus every time, often making the picture blurred, and than I need to wait until the app analyses it so I can retake the photo. Which basically means that it takes ages. But when it finally gets what I want, it really helps me with my math homework.

since last update, you can't get almost any explanation without purchasing premium account. There was no need for further upgradeing this app, because it's main function is to be an advanced calculator, that will show how it got the answer. Nobody asked a calc for animations etc. If in-depth explanations has to be monetized- okay, but let it be a one time payment, not a subscription, becasue now for a monthly price I can hire an actuall tutor. It's an absurd to pay for a subscription for a calc!
