One can no longer use "Hey Google" to perform simple searches. By default, it opens the ai that will not search for anything that it seems inappropriate regardless of the research potential. The only 2 workarounds are to either disable the voice assist which defeats the point, or say "Search" before each and every query. The ai even insisted I use a 3rd party search engine if I want voice command functionality in a search engine. Ai should be an option not compulsory. Fix this!

Like Alexa and the other "helper" it definitely is nosy and is listening to everything I say. So many times I didn't use the key phrase "Hey Google" to illicit a response & google still popped up many times. Several minutes later It was still typing out what I said. 🤬 Uses a lot of "UPDATE" Data, so if you don't have a good plan, shop around. Voice commands when there is no connection! Didn't work my entire 1300 mile trip to upper WA. I couldn't even get a reply from google for almost 6 hours!

Issues... If you select the play store, tap profile icon, manage apps and games, select manage. You will find that selecting a sorting method by: Name, Size, Most Used, or Least Used the filter displays every app alphabetically. The only difference is if you select to filter by recently updated it does filter the apps correctly. It has been this way for months and I finally decided to say so in the review because clearly no one else cares. Also, multiple Google play store "update" apps are fake!

Hi Josh. Thank you for reporting this issue. Can you please submit a feedback report and tell us a little bit more about what you're experiencing so we can investigate further? Open Google App > tap top right profile picture or initial > Help & feedback > Send feedback. Appreciate it.

What's new

• Use voice commands while navigating – even when your device has no connection. Try saying "cancel my navigation" "what's my ETA?" or "what's my next turn?"
• It's easier to access privacy settings from the homescreen. Just tap your Google Account profile picture.
