it's a great app for reading books and it's very useful, the only reason for giving 4 stars is that there is no option for learning the pronunciation of new words by hearing. I mean, after clicking to translate a new word, I need an option to click and learn the pronunciation by hearing. that's very important to me as someone who wants to learn English by reading books

I cannot download the ebooks I have purchased for some reason. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it didn't work. It keeps saying "The book cannot be downloaded right now. Try again later." It's been like this all day. This is the first time I am having such an issue with google books. I can still download the samples of unpurchased ebooks though. This is very strange. Help. (april, 2025) issue seems fixed, not too sure how though, still a little slow, rating changed to 4 stars

It's so much more than just reading. You can sort your books, check your progress, keep notes, even customize font styles. But I would still like to suggest a few improvements: 1) An option to categorize the colors of the highlight. For example, if I use green to keep quotes, red for important notes, yellow for items I may have to re-read or thought-provoking ideas, and blue for new vocabulary, but I keep forgetting which color stands for what purpose. 2) Pls do the same for pdf files also.
