About this app

Android Device Policy helps your IT admin keep your organisation's data secure. Your admin can use the app to manage security policies and settings. Use the Android Enterprise demo (https://android.com/enterprise/demo) to generate a demo code.

Android Device Policy offers:
• Easy enrolment
• Access to managed Google Play
• Access to email and work resources

Developers, use the Android Management API (https://g.co/dev/androidmanagement) to manage devices with Android Device Policy.

Permissions notice
• Camera: optionally used to scan QR codes for enterprise enrolment
• Contacts: used to add your work account to the device, required for access to managed Google Play
• Phone: used for device registration, to report device identifiers to your IT admin
• Location: used to query available Wi-Fi networks, to align with IT policy and offer a new network if current configuration is broken
You can opt out of optional permission requests and still use the app.

Force installed by Google. App has been tagged as a system app which means you cannot uninstall it regardless of uninstall button. App claims it makes it easier for a company to apply their policies to your phone which would be ok IF my phone was the property of some business which like most of us...it is NOT! App can at least be disabled under system apps with name being only "Device Policy" (no "Android" in actual name). Stop forcing unneeded/unwanted apps on us Google!

Perry much the same problems and sus things happening after it was installed. They are robbing us blind of our data and trying to convince us that they are not. Same mentioned earlier "i have toggled the" auto update" function to(NEVER) because I control the pump with my phone and pump mfg, requires that that setting be turned off to keep from having communication and or delivery issues that will cause possible life threatening episodes. Thanks Google

DANGEROUS! I refused to allow this "update", due to research I had done on the permissions of the "improvements". However, one day, after several weeks, I get in play store to ✔️ for updates, and it has been "updated" all on its own. Now, it refuses me an "uninstall", and just sits and perpetually spins saying it's "uninstalling". Right after this illegal maneuver happens on my phone, my gmail system drops the ball on a very important email, and denies me "auto save" while writing?????!!
